If you have only one day, you can discover the essential of American Dday just in one 9-hours tour.
First at all, we pay our respects at American Cemetery.
Next, we will see "Bloody Omaha". The 1st and 29th US Divisions had terrible losses on Dday. I'll show exact location of famous "Norman Cota's draw".
Also, we will visit La Pointe du Hoc. Preserved as it was at the end of fighting, this place was taken by US Rangers using grappling hooks. One of the most spectacular sites!

Elena arrived early, she was very helpful myself with my friend because we had a problem with our luggage, and did not mind that we were 1/2 hour late in leaving for my tour. She was descriptive and so knowledable of the places we visited. It was nice, too, that we had lunch in a local restaurant that was excellent. I highly recommend her, I wish all guides were like her!
