Kampala in a day with a local private guide
Kampala, the city on seven hills! Kampala offers a range of everything a city can offer, from busy streets to some old beat up outskirts, from posh neighborhoods to slums, a wide range of culture, businesses, people, styles of living and food also. It is a melting pot of sorts.
Your senses will be utilized in a way they have never been used before! Chaotic, noisy, amusing, exciting and terrifying to the newcomer yet all so love-able. Getting around in Kampala can be likened to being in an action-packed blockbuster.
There is a lot to see and do, so prepare to have quite the experience.
We hit the popular spots first; the cathedrals, religious and cultural buildings.
We then check out the park, central market, the museum, parliament, Independence Monument and the National theater.
We also see how the not so priviledged live.
Then we go in search of some real good Ugandan food - late lunch (my personal recommendation).
After that, we spend sometime by the lake shore and finally sum it all up in a bird's eye view of Kampala city from a vantage point enjoying dessert, coffee or whatever you fancy.

Being with Carolyn and James was like visiting family. It was great to have the opportunity to just talk about what life was like for them in Uganda. We would talk about the options for the day and decided what we wanted to do, sometime changing course mid stream. It was very fun.
