Then it goes through St. Florian's street to the Main Market Square with the St. Mary's church famous for the bugle call and the main altar. There are also some other buildings there, including the Cloth Hall, and the tower of the town hall; the University district - with Collegium Maius its oldest building; the bishop's palace famous for its former inhabitant John Paul II; Franciscan Church, Grodzka Street, Kanonicza Street up to the Wawel Hill - the main residence of the polish kings till 17th century.
This tour is called the Royal Route because every king of Poland entering Kraków had to follow this trace.
The tour starts near the Barbican and St, Florian's gate - the remining part of the city walls, then we go along Floriańsk street to the Main market Square. This is the biggest market Square in Europe. Then we go to the University district and through the Planty to see the Episcopal Palace and Franciscan Church. Both greatly connected with John Paul II.
