Our usual route plan from Oxford is to drive over Farmoor toll bridge and past Burford village, which is known as the gateway to the Cotswolds and its high street has been used in several historic tv shows. We stop for coffee and a walk or shopping at either Stowe on the Wold, a pretty market town. Then we drive on to Broadway Tower for one of the best views in the region. Option to walk from there into Broadway village through the fields and have lunch stop there. Then in afternoon, we stop at Bourton on the Water ('the Venice of the Cotswolds') or upon request at another destination such as Kelmscott Manor. Then we return to Oxford for arrival time of approximately 5. 30pm.
