The County and the Capital
Coimbra was once the capital of Portugal, and this tour is going to focus on the city most emblematic places.
We're going to visit one of the oldest University in Europe and its famous library, covered in gold. After, we'll stop for a short break and visit the Museum Machado de Castro, where it is still possible to see the Roman forum of Coimbra.
We'll continue going down the hill and visit the Old Cathedral. After that, we'll have a break for lunch, and we'll visit the graves of the 1st king of Portugal and his son.
We'll cross to the other side of the river to visit a Monastery that was underwater for more than 400 years.
