See the great highlights of London from the best possible perspectives
This tour covers two essential London localities. The City of London (the original "square mile") with 2000 years of history from "The Roman invaders" to modern day business district. Secondly its "younger sibling", founded 1000 years ago and the place of Parliament, Monarchy, Westminster Abbey, and today known as Westminster. If you understand these London districts then you are a good way into understanding London as a whole! The tour includes walking, using London's excellent public transport system of underground and buses. A lunch break at midday, at a place of your choosing from among the many cafes, pubs, restaurants that populate this capital city! We will look at and learn about Buckingham Palace, Westminster Abbey, The Houses of Parliament, Whitehall and Trafalgar Square in the morning. After lunch we journey to view the ancient City of London district with Roman remains, River Thames-side locations, famous London and Tower Bridges and the exterior of the Tower of London
The itinerary can be changed according to specific visitor requirements and is totally flexible within reason. As a registered Blue Badge guide I am trained and authorised to take you inside major "highlights" and have priority entry in some locations. It is usual to meet at a prearranged central central point, or be collected from your hotel lobby.
I recommend covering Buckingham Palace, Changing of the Guard Royal Parks, Westminster Abbey and Houses of Parliament, Whitehall, Trafalgar Square in the morning. Stop for a well earned "Pub Lunch" or food break, and then in the afternoon see the original "City of London", its ancient Roman sites, and churches including St Paul's Cathedral, Tower of London and famous Bridges. It is one of the world's leading business districts with some fascinating new, modern and ancient architecture. Some sightseeing options can be substituted for others as there is much else to see in these localities, or a specific museum. We travel by a combination of bus, tube, or on foot.

Duration: 9 hours

There are many places of interest where if the weather is poor visitors of all ages can be entertained
