Including inside visits to the Musegg Towers and the Ritter Palace and presentation of the "Danse Macabre"
The tour starts with a visit to the Lion Monument.
Then you explore the Musegg Wall and visit two Towers from the inside (except November-March)
You stroll through the historical City Center. Besides the local attractions, you also get to see hidden places.
Another highlight is an Inside visit of the Ritter Palace with its "Danse Macabre" (except Saturdays, Sundays and Holidays).
Finally, you cross the wooden Chapel Bridge with the Water Tower.
I meet you at your Hotel. I will introduce myself and show you the route on a city map.
You walk or take the public bus to the Lion-square, where you see the Bourbaki Museum and get some brief information about it.
A few steps further, you reach the world famous Lion Monument. You will receive brief historical background information about the mercenary service.
A few minutes walk takes you to the Musegg wall, the town fortification. You visit the Schirmer Tower and the Clock Tower.
You continue to the heart of the Old Town,
A few steps further on the Corn Market you see the Town Hall and Tower.
You stroll through the legendary Furrengasse and cross the river on the world-famous Chapel Bridge.
Then you see the 17th century Jesuit Church, the first Baroque church in Switzerland.
A few steps further you will reach the Ritter Palace for an inside visit. You are guided through the "Danse Macabre" a seven paintings gallery by Jakob von Wyl.
Finally, I will take you back to your hotel.
