A daily trip from the port of Civitavecchia
This tour will give you the chance of having one of the most breathtaking views of Italy: Civita di Bagnoregio, also known as 'the Dying City', being an old village built atop a volcanic tuff cliff that, due to erosion, has turned into something of an island linked to the territory around by a tiny foot bridge accessible only on foot. Besides, will visit Viterbo, a medieval town embellished by fountains, towers, narrow streets, the superb Palace of the Popes and the Cathedral.
This is a private tour meant to accommodate your needs and schedule. Through email, we can work on the itinerary if you have special requirements.
Our tour will start with the visit of the old and almost unmanned burg of Civita di Bagnoregio towering above the Badlands Valley havig moonscape features. Visit of the narrow streets embellished by the profferli and by flowers planted all over. Danila is a very knowledgeable and friendly guide. Her choice of areas to show us in Viterbo and Civita were very interesting and aligned well with our interests in archaeology and history. Great choice for the mid-tour restaurant. Accommodated our pace even though that made the tour go over her expected time. Overall a rich and engrossing experience.
