We will visit Miles Canyon, one of the most dramatic natural features near Whitehorse, where the Yukon River has cut its way down through a flow of basaltic lava. Basaltic 50ft. rock walls, brilliant water color and sturdy suspension bridge to enjoy. It sums up the natural beauty of our historic Yukon River. You will enjoy a scenic drive, and learn more about the river and its significance to the Gold Rush and local people.
We will also have the opportunity to take pictures and walk around the historic S. S. Klondike sternwheeler on the banks of the mighty Yukon River. Now a national historic site, the vessel spent its early years navigating a 500 mi (805 km) stretch of the river between Whitehorse and Dawson City. (The S. S. Klondike will be close for inside tours).
We will visit the Tahini Hot Springs, where you can relax in the hot water pool while enjoying the peaceful natural surroundings.
