Visit the TOP Highlights in town and Relax at Kuang si waterfall
Explore the morning market, ancient temples, local crafts, and history of Lao and its former kingdoms on a great morning city tour. Then visit Kuang Si Waterfall for an afternoon of beautiful jungle and cool cascading waterfalls.
Luang Prabang is known to be one of the best preserved traditional city in Southeast Asia. The tranquility and tropical charm of this town with its splendid natural scenery and cultural sights make it one of the most alluring destinations in Laos!
We'll start with a trip to the Morning Market, a lively street where locals stock up on all sort of interesting supplies, from colourful vegetables to live frogs. Then we'll step from the energy of the market into the serene calm of one of the city's most sumptuous monasteries, Wat Mai, and, afterwards, to the former King's Palace, now the National Museum. There, you'll learn about the past and present of Luang Prabang. From there, we will visit the beautiful and ancient Wat Xieng Thong temple, with its spectacular low sweeping stylistic roof.
On the way to the falls, we'll stop to visit a fascinating Hmong culture museum where your guide will give you an introduction to Hmong crafts, lifestyle, and culture. Then on to the famous Kuang Si Waterfall. We'll have lunch at the falls and you can swim in the pools or walk along beautiful jungle paths. At the waterfall, you may visit the Bear Rescue Center, which hosts rescued bears in large, open grounds where you can see these beautiful animals.

Jay is a truly phenomenal guide who knows his hometown like the back of his hand. Not only were we taken to the traditional attractions (e.g. Kuangsi falls) but Jay was able to also give us a sampling of the local life and took us through local markets and restaurants. He's extremely articulate and knowledgeable about the history of Laos, giving us information about the intricacies of this phenomenal country.
