From the War of 1812 to Vietnam
This walking tour will visit locations of military significance. From a military conflict, a prisoner of war camp and war memorials, you will discover the history of the US military in Chicago. We will visit important locations from the War of 1812, the Civil War and memorials for all branches of the armed forces and conflicts of the 20th century.

This is a walking and public transportation tour. We can explore sites from the War of 1812, the Civil War, WWII and WWII, Vietnam and memorials to all veterans.
Meeting Location + Tour Duration
Meeting location: We will meet in the Randolph Street lobby of the Chicago Cultural Center (the former Chicago Public Library) at Randolph Street and Michigan Avenue or at your downtown hotel.
End location: We an end at our starting location or I can give you directions to your hotel from our last stop.
Duration: 2 hours
Our walking pace, time spent at each location and traffic can change the length of our tour.
We will walk and use public transporation
You will receive a welcome packet at your downtown hotel and I provide bottled water for each guest. I will take digital pictures and videos of you at each location and download them to you. Each guest will receive a post card of a Chicago landmark to mail or keep as a souvenir.

10 USD - You will need to purchase a 1-day pass for the CTA ($10 per person). There are no extra charges other than the purchase of personal souvenirs, food and beverages.
Should you wish to take public transportation, you will need to purchase a CTA transit pass. There are no extra costs other than for your souvenirs, food and beverages and other personal items you may wish to purchase.
I do not own a car, but can accompany you in your car or on public transportation.
