Art, architecture, wine at Château La Coste and open-air market in Aix-en-Provence
We'll start with the morning market in Aix-en-Provence in the heart of the Old Town where we'll stroll through its charming, winding streets. You'll appreciate the history and architecture of this ancient town which was founded by the Romans and is now a rather chic and busy city buzzing with students and artists of all kinds. If you are Cezanne fans, you can visit his workshop and the hill where he painted Mont St. Victoire.
We'll then drive 20 minutes north across the pretty countryside to Château La Coste famous for its architecture, art, food and wine. A free wine tasting is offered and if you like you can choose from one of the three restaurants for lunch. There is a beautiful walk around the vineyards to see the giant sculptures and other works of art by world famous artists and architects.
