The Combination Tour - Driving and Walking
Charleston is best seen up close. This tour allows the convenience of driving around a wider area so that you see it all but hopping out occasionally for a leisurely stroll to get to know its beauty more intimately. We'll visit The Citadel, the prestigious military college of South Carolina. White Point Garden with its gorgeous live oak trees and picturesque setting is also a must. The lovely College of Charleston is a place you won't forget. We'll travel through the popular and trendy Upper King Street district as well as the famous Downtown Historic District comprised of Church Street, Broad Street, Tradd Street, Meeting Street, Queen Street and more. There were six of us on this tour and only three of us had been to Charleston previously. Mary was super. Not only was she well prepared but she had personal stories that related to the locations in Charleston that we visited and she shared them at the appropriate moment. Mary's tour was well planned and moved along at a good pace for us senior citizens. Combining Charleston's lovely weather on Sunday with Mary's tour made it a perfect afternoon.
