I first received my Tour Guide License from the City of Charleston in 1997, within a year of my arrival in South Carolina's Low country and remain a Licensed Charleston Tour Guide!
I authored more than forty articles about the dramatic history of the region; I have been recognized by the Civil War Preservation Trust and, in October of 2011, received an Honor Award at the National Trust for Historic Preservation annual Conference in Buffalo, N. Y. for my work with the restoration committee of the Seashore Farmers Lodge Museum and Cultural Center. I am now actively involved as a keeper of Charleston History by participation with several groups.
It would be my pleasure to share with you my passion for this city and my knowledge of its history.
If you are looking for an historian able to bring the past back, please contact me!
ALL tours are flexible and open to customization! All walking tours will offer a COVID-19 approved mask. A recommended 6 foot distance from each other will be maintained whenever possible.

Our group of 9 spent a delightful day with Paul learning all about Charleston. He is very knowledgeable with regards to history and architecture and also took us to a fabulous place for lunch. Thanks again Paul!
