Discover Chambord Castle and taste prestigious local wines
Chambord, or the extravagance of a king is the 2nd largest castle in France built by king Francis 1st during the 16th c. Used as a hunting lodge, Francis 1st only spent few weeks.
It's one of the most emblematic early renaissance castle probably designed on the idea of Leonardo Da Vinci.
Together we will cross different centuries linked to the French history and I will take you to Francis 1st private apartments but also those of king Louis XIV who came few times to entertain himself before to build Versailles. Of course you will see the incredible double helix staircase.
From the terraces you will enjoy the ornamentation of the upper part of the castle but also get an incredible view of the formal French gardens recreated in 2016 thanks to an American donation.
After the visit you will taste local wines and Chambord liquor.
