St. Louis #1 Private Cemetery Tour
Tour the oldest existing cemetery in New Orleans, opened in 1789. Visit the gravesite of our famous Voodoo Queen, Marie Laveau and hear the facinating story of her life. See and hear about the society tombs, the future gravesite of Nicholas Cage, and the protestant section, as the cemetery was segregated only by religion. Learn how and why we bury our dead above ground. I use visuals and sound for visitors to see and hear our traditional "second line" funerals. Tours are available Sunday through Saturday 9:00AM-3:00PM.
