After a short introduction in front of the dazzling façade, we will begin our tour inside the Cathedral walking through the naves and admiring renaissance frescoes and floors.
We will go down to the Crypt below the Cathedral to take a step back into the late sixth century and uncover the early Christian Church.
Then, we will get to the Baptistery, an 11th-century architectural wonder of green and white marble, adorned inside with stunning Italo-Byzantine mosaics.
Finally, we will examine the artworks and sculptures that once adorned the Cathedral, today preserved within the Opera del Duomo Museum.
