Mountains, colours, sun, and wine.
To deserve the famous torrontes wine, we should cross the amazing gorge called "Quebrada de las Conchas". This unique landscape is formed by sandstone red rocks that the wind took thousands years to shape.
Once in Cafayate, we will have lunch in one of the local winneries, together with one of their excellent wines.
In the afternoon, on our way back to Salta, we may add a 2 hours walk to discover the beauty of the sunset lighting the mountains.
IMPORTANT! All the tours can be combined with the others or tailor made if you have special requests.
Starting early in Salta, we will be following the Lerma Valley, sorrounded by tobacco plantations until we leave the valley to enter into the mountains.
Here we will change the green for the red mountains. In every corner we will have a suggestive formation, and we can stop as many times as you want, to enjoy the views and take pictures.
There are some classic stops knowned as "La Garganta del Diablo" (The Devil's Gorge), "El Anfiteatro" (The Anphitheatre), "Los Castillos" (The Castles). . . buy there are also some other beautiful spots to stop and walk a bit, or if you prefer, to bike as much as you want, always followed buy the car, and with the possibility to give up when you feel tired.
In Cafayate we will visit a winnery, learn about wine making, and taste these particular wines, enjoying a meal.
In the afternoon we will take the same road back to Salta. The light will give thee landscape a complete different character. . . it will seem another road.
You can also go for a 2 hs walk in a side gorge.
