Two medieval cities combined
No trip to Flanders is complete without a visit of Ghent and Bruges. Bruges is Belgium's most popular tourist destination, while Ghent is still a well-kept secret. A train journey of only 25 minutes separates both cities, which makes them easy to combine on an agreeable day out.
Both cities offer scenic canals, cobbled alleys, a belfry, a magnificent cathedral, ornate guild houses, delicious chocolate shops, but. . . they couldn't be more different in atmosphere. Wandering around Bruges takes you back to the past, while Ghent combines a glorious past with a highly contemporary feel. I wonder which of these two gems you'll like best…
Both walking tours cover the historic center.
In Ghent it includes the Castle of the Counts (Gravensteen), the old harbour with its medieval guild houses, the Belfry, St Bavo's Cathedral, Town Hall and major city squares. . .
In Bruges we'll walk along the Beguinage, St John's Hospital, Church of Our Lady, Burg Square, Main Market Square, Belfry. . .
Your tour can be customized to your own fields of interest.
