We will take a look at the beautiful Skyway Ballroom and feel the vibe of those dancers and famous bands from the 40's and 50's. which broadcast nationally from there. We'll move on to Beale Street where we'll walk by the haunts of the legends and maybe sample a treat at historic A. Schwabs long bar/soda fountain.
Begin with a short orientation at the lobby fountain of the Peabody Hotel. Winding our way around the lobby we'll see where Elvis's High School Prom was held, where he signed his first contract with the Colonel and vist with the clothiers who dressed the King for 20+ years. Doug was very flexible on a rainy day in Memphis. He has a great deal of information and great stories about the various entertainers over the years. As a "Duckmaster" we got a special tour of the Peabody Hotel and the duck parade.
