Summer 2017's Top Five Destinations, on Every Continent

Summer 2017 was a busy time at ToursByLocals! From the start of June to the end of August, we sent over 75,000 people out on tours with our guides.

Europe:
We sell more tours in Europe than anywhere else, especially in the warm months! While the top five changes, Paris and Rome consistently jostle for first place.

North America:
We were happy to see Vancouver – our headquarters and hometown! – top the list for busiest North American destination this summer.

Travelers headed to Machu Picchu in June keep Cusco in the Top 5…but growing numbers of travelers to Cuba means Havana leads the charge in this category.

Asia:
Our Asian destinations are most popular in spring and fall, when blossoms and fall foliage are at their peak, and temperatures are pleasant for exploring. Still, many travelers braved the mid-summer heat

Africa:
The northern and southern edges of the continent are most popular among our travelers, with people focusing most on Morocco, Egypt and South Africa.

Australia:
