In addition to offering day trips along the coast and city tours that explore Lima’s architectural heritage, Aaron has also opened up his family home to travelers interested in learning how to cook traditional Peruvian dishes. His tour called “From My Mother’s Kitchen” brings visitors literally into his mother’s home, where Dagmar shows them how to prepare traditional Peruvian foods, such as ceviche, lomo saltado, arroz con pollo, causa or papa a la huancaina. His Gastronomic Tours also take travelers through local marketplaces, where they can first learn to shop in Spanish for the fresh ingredients needed to prepare the meal.
