Birding in the Cloud Forest and Andes
Ecuador is one of the most diverse countries in the whole in birds. It got the 3rd place in the big day competition 2017.
The diversity of birds and the short distances to get from one birding place to another make of this country the perfect one for birdwatching.
This tour will take you to one area in Ecuador in a few days to spot as many birds as possible.
We will visit the northwest cloudforest or Choco region in Ecuador.
Get you binoculars ready and begin the tour!
Day 01: Quito Yanacocha-Bellavista
Visit to Yanacocha reserve. One of the last remnants of Andean forest in Ecuador. We will continue towards Bellavista lodge for more birding
Day 02: Bellavista-Milpe-Mindo
We will walk on the trails that Bellavista reserve has to offer. In the afternoon we will visit Milpe Reserve
Day 03: Paz de las Aves-Pedro Vicente-Río Silanche
We will visit the Andean Cock of the Rock Lek and will watch the antpittas of the area. Breakfast is in the reserve. In the afternoon we will visit Rio Silanche reserve
Day 04: Rio Silanche-Quito
This day we have a half day birding in Rio Silanche> Lower western Choco forest. Return to Quito in the afternoon
