Birding in Seychelles
Seychelles in an important place for people who indulge their time to passionately appreciate nature, bird watching in particular.
Here holds some very interesting birds. Even if not all could be seen, still one would truly appreciate birdwatching in the Seychelles. Throughout the year are some resident migrant like Ruddy Turnstone (Arenaria interpres), whimbrel (Numenius phaopus) as well some rare vagrant as the European cuckoo (cuclus canons) and European roller (Coracias garrulus).
More interesting, our endemic birds while some are more restricted to nearby remote rat-cat free islands: Cousin and Aride due to vulnerability to predators on the main islands Mahe and Praslin.
Nevertheless Mahe are home to six of the 11 endemic birds.
Enjoy your birdwatching!
