"The most beautiful that we have ever seen" J. W. Goethe
Bern - The old city which is enlisted in UNESCO's World Heritage Site.
Welcome to one of the rare corners of the world, which preserved its medieval townscape with numerous fountains, narrow streets and towers.
Important secrets about the capital of Switzerland will be divulged during this private guided tour.
Welcome to Bern!
We start our tour from Bern Train Station or your hotel: discovery of the Heiliggeistkirche and walking along Spitalgasse street and Baerenplatz. The city center is Bundesplatz, where Bundeshaus - the Government Palace, is situated surrounded by all the main Swiss banks, and this is the picture of Swiss reality! Then we discover the Zyttglogge - the oldest clock in Switzerland working since very long centuries. We will have the possibility to discover Einstein House Museum on the Kramgasse Street.
If you have the courage to climb up 344 stairs of Bern's Cathedral - the highest tower in the city, you will be amazed by a heavenly scenery of the old town nestled on the banks of Aare River and the snowy mountains of Berner Oberland.
We cross the Aare River in order to discover the brewery-restaurant Tramdepot near to the bear pit. The last point of our excursion is the Rosengarten with 220 sorts of roses, from where magnificent views unfold on Bern and the fresh atmosphere infiltrates right into your chest.

Johan is an excellent guide, very knowledgeable and extremely flexible to customize the tour as per our requirements. We were a family of 4 with 2 teen aged children and Johan explained the city's history and a lot of nuances about the buildings which were very educative and informative. I would recommend anytime this tour to others as in a short span of 2 hours we got to know so much about the wonderful city of Bern.
