Tour along the former Berlin Wall with a private guide
The wall divided Berlin for 28 years, cutting through lively neighborhoods, parks, rivers, and graveyards. This bike tour is the perfect way to follow the route of the former death strip. You will explore the authentic sites and learn about the people and stories connected to them.
Let me explain why and how the Wall was built, how life was for the people in the divided city and what events finally led to the fall of Wall.
During our tour we will see the first former checkpoint, the so-called "Palace of Tears". We'll ride the riverbanks of the Spree river, in the past site of dramatic escape attempts and now political center of Germany. Along the way we will visit the open-air Wall Documentation Center and other sites where people escaped to the West and even built tunnels to gain freedom. We will also see remaining segments of the Wall, the last guard towers and Checkpoint Charlie

A wonderful experience. Whilst this was tour based on the Berlin Wall, Markus shared much insight into Berlin today and in the past. He was a considerate guide, and led us well around the streets. The riding is straightforward. Absolutely recommended.
