City Centre Attractions & Political Tour

Welcome to Belfast. During this fascinating tour we will stroll through Belfast's old alleyways and entries discovering the tales of the people who gave the city its wonderful character and discover over 400 years of history with a local guide. We will see all the most popular sights from the Victorian City hall to the leaning Albert Clock and experience the unique atmosphere of the city's pubs, restaurants, cafes and streets.

Belfast is also now becoming famous as an open-air gallery, with hundreds off murals painted on walls throughout the city. Let me take you through these once war-torn streets where now the murals tell the history. We will pass through the Peace wall that still divides the working class communities of the catholic Falls and Protestant Shankill. This tour is fast becoming the most popular tour in Ireland.

Because i'm a native I know all the shortcuts through the city and all the best places to visit, which will ensure you get the most out of your time.

The tour will start on the river Lagan, where Belfast was born. We will visit Custom House Square and The Albert Clock. We will then make our way through the city passing St George's Church, Joy's Entry, The Four Corners, The Merchant, St Anne's Cathaderal Quarter, The 1st Presbyterian Church, Kelly's cellars pub & St Mary's Chapel.

We will then travel into the two neighbourhoods most affected by "The Troubles" the catholic Falls & Protestant Shankill. We will see the world famous International wall, home to several murals, Conway Mill, an old linen mill, where we can have some lunch & visit the Republican Museum, The mural of Bobby Sands & the Sinn Fein office, Bombay st memorial garden & Clonard Monastery & then cross the peace wall and stop so you can leave your personalized message and see the spot where President Clinton and the Dalai lama left theirs.

A Recent Review of this tour

We loved our walk through Belfast with Lorraine. Her enthusiasm and love of the city came through as she showed us the sites, even as she helped explain the most fascinating and disturbing aspect of the city's history - the troubles. There is so much to take in as you discover that history, and the art and politics of the walls. Lorraine helped explain and explore it all with us, both sides. She was lovely to talk to and get to know as we explored her still changing and developing city.
