Stroll and visit some of the most significant venues in the historical centre
Rome Baroque private walking tour featuring a delightful stroll through the historical center of Rome to admire the fabulous fountains and Piazzas decorated with the incredible works of Borromini and his more famous rival Bernini.
During the 17th century Rome was the heart of European art life, achieving such an importance as an artistic crossroad that it more than rivaled the level Paris reached at the end of the 19th century. The different aspects and protagonists of the Baroque movement in Rome, Bernini & Borromini, will be brought about throughout the tour as many others. The tour includes churches as "Il Gesu", the main Jesuit church featuring the most representative frescoed vault of this period.
St. Ivo, a church which surprisingly was designed by Borromini keeping in mind two main features: the form of a dove and the elliptical form, or S. Andrea della Valle which will present to us a yet more enticing version of the Baroque.
Recommended both for first or second time comers.
"Artifice to fool and vaguely joining together the fake with the real". (Giovanni Battista Passeri). So did the literate described the deep sense of awe created by some of the most spectacular baroque art works . The itinerary will be set out to express the deep sense of the baroque period.

Fabio was "spot on" in providing me a great start to my vacation in Italy. Given my jet lag and a nagging back injury, he made just the right adjustments to my tour. His art and history knowledge is excellent and he tuned into my travel interests like a real professional. Thanks Fabio!!!!
