Our tour with Werner was definitely a highlight of our time in Umbria. I thought Assisi would be a one trick pony, but Assisi was a perfect destination not just for a pilgrimage. We learned so much about St. Francis and St. Catherine. Werner was patient while we stopped to shop. His lunch recommendation was one of the best Porchetta sandwiches I have had and the store shipped 12 bottles of wine for only 90€!
