Let's Try Hokkaido's Highest Mountain Summer Hiking!
Asahidake is a mountain located in the town of Higashikawa, Hokkaido and the tallest mountain in Hokkaido. It is part of the Daisetsuzan Volcanic Group of the Ishikari Mountains, it is located in the northern part of the Daisetsuzan National Park.
Its elevation is 2291m.
Take the ropeway(cable car) to the 5th station and hike to the peak.
The mountain is popular with hikers in the summer and can be easily reached from Asahidake Onsen via Asahidake Ropeway, and many of alpine flowers will fascinate you.
You will need to bring your own mountain gears.
(Shoes, jackets, rain gear etc. . . )
※This tour is only available from July to November until snow cover the trail.
8:00 Departing Sapporo
11:00 Arrive Asahidake ropeway station
11:30 Start hiking from 5th station.
14:00 Lunch on the mountain (summit).
16:30 Take ropeway down the mountain.
20:00 Arrive Sapporo.
