Scenic archipelago in Ockero rural district
Experience the scenic west coast of Sweden, in the rural district of Ockero.
It is only twenty-five km north west of Gothenburg.
In the rural district of Ockero, there are ten inhabited islands. It's easy to reach four of them by making a 12 minutes ferry crossing from Lilla Varholmen, to the island Hono. This short ferry crossing will give you a view of the dramatic rocky coast.
From Hono you can reach the islands Ockero (the same name as the rural district), Halso and Foto. Those four islands are connected by small bridges.
At Ockero there is a small homestead museum and a 18th century church.
At the small harbor of Hono you will find some fishing boats, the Fishing Museum, some restaurants, cafes and shops.
This tour will give you a view of the scenic, rocky west coast of Sweden. There will be some walking, but no uphill walking.
