Alternative tour around Cusco - Gastronomy, Culture, local experience & Landscapes
The Baroque route includes visit to Tipon (Masterpiece of Inca hydraulic engineering), Andahuaylillas (Considered the sistine andean Chapel) and Huaro Chapel (Maybe unique in the world). It is a great opportunity to tour the non-visited sectors in Cusco, with beautiful scenereis, lagoons and villages. In addition you can find the best local and traditional food.
I'll pick you up from your Hotel at 8:30 am to start visiting these incredible places in the southern of Cusco.
TIPON: Tipon is said to be a royal garden commissioned by Wiracocha. It is one of the most elaborate examples of agricultural terracing created by the Incas.
Tipon is definitely one of the lesser visited sites in the Cusco area but it is equally as impressive as those in the Sacred Valley. The Tipon Archeological Complex is located 24 km southeast of Cusco.
ANDAHUAYLILLAS: Here you find the "Sixtine Chapel of Peru", a church that is home to golden altars, paintings and many colored ceilings. The chapel is simple and unassuming on the outside, but on the inside you'll find masterpiece of "Escuela Cuzqueña". Then you will visit the outstanding chapel of Huaro.
On our way back people can enjoy the delicious roasted pork or guidea pig.
