From the Foundation of a small village overlooking the Tiber River to the Roman Empire

My studies and Degree at Rome University gave me an overall view of Roman History, from pre-historical to contemporary times, which I like to share with my guests.
I'll come pick you up at your hotel, if centrally located. Either walking or by public transportation we'll reach the Palatine Hill (I'll have skiptheline tickets) where everything started: we'll see traces of the original ancient huts of the VIII century B. c. Then we'll continue through the ancient city center: the Roman Forum. Later, with the same tickets, we are entering the symbol itself of the power of Imperial Rome: the Coloseum. An old legend tells that if the Coloseum falls, Rome will fall. If Rome falls, the world will fall!

A Recent Review of this tour

Sergio was extremely timely in responding to our our enquiries even before we appointed him as our guide. He is very humours and knowledgable in the history of Romans. He is physically fit. Despite having literally walked with us for some 8 hours, he was still full of energy and patient in answering our questions along the trip.
