A personal tour of your ancestors locations
Each tour is unique and will be built around information supplied by you. You will possibly be able to visit a former home, farm village or town where your family originated or were resident and left their mark. In the past I have taken visitors to farms where their forefathers worked, churchyards where graves of former generations could be visited and even viewpoints described in old diaries and journeys. These tours allow you to see into the world that great great grandparents inhabited and see with your own eyes what they saw.
Tours can take place anywhere in the UK but primarily, in Worcestershire, Shropshire, Herefordshire, mid-Wales and the Welsh borderlands, as this is the area I have a deep knowledge of.
The cost of the tour includes research work and most often a day researching locations in the field to ensure your day is complete and runs smoothly. Tours may also be booked over additional days and cover other areas at an agreed price.
Each tour is unique to you and your family history.
Tours start from an agreed pick up point, usually your accommodation. I may be able reccomend inns, hotels and guest houses. The tour will visit places and locations which I will have researched beforehand from information provided by you. This may be diary or journal entries made in the past by your forebears or information gathered during your genealogy searches to construct your family tree. I have in the past retraced the steps taken between sweethearts homes and even all the way to the church of their marriage, places of work and the houses and streets where they lived.
The tour ends by taking you to an agreed drop off point, which may be further on in your visit to the UK, or a transport hub for yur onward travel. The tour is entirely unique and specific to you.
