Verona taverns to taste Amarone wine with local food
A stroll through Verona's historical centre, along the banks of the Adige river and in the medieval alleys, in search of good food and good wine.
You learn about the historical reasons behind the presence of the wine taverns and you are introduced to the local wines: the white Custoza, Durello, Lugana and Soave, the red Valpolicella and the renowned Amarone.
On the tour we go to 3 taverns, drink wine and eat lovely, local finger food (cold cuts, meat balls, risotto etc. . . ). We make the acquaintance of the innkeepers, that usually have very good good stories to tell. . .
We start from the river Adige (if possible at ponte Nuovo) and then reach the 3 taverns, one after the other.
