TAURASI is a village located in Campania, southern Italy.
This wine area is based on the red Aglianico grape variety.
Its vineyards are situated at the high altitude area of Avellino,
in the Apennine mountains.
The soils are composed of many elements - most notably
clay, limestone and volcanic ash.
In this area , also called IRPINIA , 3 High Quality Denominations wines are produced :
FIANO DI AVELLINO and GRECO DI TUFO (white) and TAURASI (red).
This famous region with very ancient history of wine making is
located 2 h and half from SORRENTO and the AMALFI COAST and 1 h and half
from NAPLES and SALERNO.
Morning: Participants meet at the Winery Estate for welcome coffee with 'brioches'. Start to the vineyards for a visit guided with a step-by-step explanation of the territory with the Estate Owner Milena Pepe and/or winery's technicians.
- Afterwards winery's visit with description of vinification process and the Wine tasting with Irpinia's wines doc and docg.
- Gourmet Lunch: menu of 4 courses at the Estate's Restaurant
