For second time visitors
There is so much more to the Louvre than the typical highlights. This tour takes you to less crowded sections of the museum, home to an unparalleled collection of exceptional works of art. We will see paintings from France and the Netherlands and learn the stories behind them, the artists that created them and the historical contexts essential in forming Western civilisation.
1. French Art from Louis XIV to the 19th century, Sully wing. Includes the great artists of the seductive Rococco period, the purity of the Neoclassics and finally, the drama of the Romantics. Finish with a glimmer of modernity and Corot.
2. Dutch Golden Age - Richelieu wing. Rembrandt, Rubens, Vermeer and (if open) the « secret treasure » of the Louvre.

Catherine was the perfect guide for our private family tour of the Louvre. She was extremely knowledgeable about the history of the Louvre and all of the masterpieces within. She captivated us all (including our children ages 13 and 11) and was able to condense the most important works into a 2 hour action packed tour. She was able to maneuver well in the museum and provide us an up close and intimate experience with the art despite the crowds. This was by far our best Paris experience!
