visit Nikka Whiskey in Yoichi and explore nostalgic and picturesque port city Otaru
This is a tour to Yoichi and Otaru from Sapporo.
We first visit Yoichi Nikka Whiskey Distillery and take a look at a factory still in operation, followed by free sample tasting.
Then we go back to Otaru and explore Otaru canal, the relics of once flourished Northern Wall Street area that is a thriving shopping district now.
Otaru is also famous for seafood and sweets, please try them.
If you are interested, I can take you to Tanaka Syuzo Kikkogura Celler to learn how to make Japanese sake at the end of the tour.
The transportation to Yoichi is not very frequent. So we will take bus from Sapporo to Yoichi.
You can surely secure seats but takes longer to transport.

We have lunch in Otaru.
We will visit Otaru canal, then glass shops, music box shops, and sweets shops, samurai goods shop, too.
We will come back to Sapporo by public transportation.

8:30 meet up at hotel lobby
8:43-9:59 take train to Yoichi (change trains in Otaru at 9:36) 1070yen
10:00-12:20 Nikka Distillery factory tour and tasting
12:31- 12:55 JR train from Yoichi to Otaru ( 360 yen )
13:00-14:00 lunch at Sankaku Market ( seafood ) Do you like sea food?
If you would like sushi, I will take you to a nice sushi restaurant
14:15-17:30 Otaru Canal, Sakaimachi Street( Music box shops, Glass shops, Samurai goods shops, samurai goods shop and more),
option Tanaka Japanese Sake Celler, Mt Tengu ropeway
17:30-18:30 take JR train from Otaru station to Sapporo ( 640yen)
disband at JR Station or I will take you to your favorite dinner place
