On a cruise ? Soak in the hot springs, walk or golf at the coast
Challenge and then pamper yourself: after golf or a hike in the park, relax your body and mind in the Yangmingshan hot springs on the slopes of dormant volcanoes. The national park lies between Taiwan's Northern Coast and the city. It is an excellent place for short and easy, to longer and more demanding walks at altitudes between 800-1000 meters
At the foot of the park's Datun mountain on the East coast you can walk in the Yehliu Geopark, and hike well beyond the tourist area where the Queen's Head rock gazes out over the Pacific.
If your time allows, drive along the coast to see the North cape, beaches and Tamsui, now a favorite riverside tourist promenade on the Northwest coast. Take in the view of the river and the city from the 17th century Dutch East India Company's Fort Anthonio and the former British Consulate. Enjoy a local meal in one of the village's many restaurants along the waterfront and old street.
You can also consider a pre-booked round of golf at one of the area clubs.
We will drive to Yehliu to visit the Geopark. Passing through Jinshan village we will enter the Yangminshan National Park area and explore places of interest to you.
After a hike it may be time for your choice of many hot springs and baths that dot the area; from simple public ones to resorts, with separated Japanese to mixed European spa type pools, entered without and with bathing suits respectively.
Driving on the winding park roads, or along the coast, we reach other hiking destinations offering a view of the sea, and the mountains in Yangmingshan park.
Remember, it is your tour: we can adjust the routes for you. In case of fog or rain we usually stay on the coastal route.

Just the highest marks will do for this 1,5 days we spent in the north of Taiwan hiking in the mountains and bathing in geothermal springs. The mountain guide Leo was really knowledgeable about the possibilities for interesting treks and choose them well to suit our needs and interests. He managed to take us to places that not many tourists get to see. He speaks very good English and is areally nice and interesting person too.
