An Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty
The Wye Valley was the birthplace of British tourism. Step back in time and discover the medieval ruins of historical castles and the religious house known as Tintern Abbey. Turner and Wordsworth were visitors in their day. One painted and the other waxed lyrical.
The tour includes visits to Chepstow castle and Tintern Abbey. However, en route we will visit the Usk Valley and discover the Roman ruins at Caerleon, Roman Baths, Roman Museum and Roman Amphitheatre. Arguably, one of the most important Roman sites in Europe.
