Walk from one monastery to another and enjoy trying a local wine!
We will try to capture wonderful places in two steps from Iasi. We will visit the two Cetatuia and Hlincea Monasteries not far apart, each with a history that deserves to be known. Set on a hill overlooking the valley of the Nicolina River and the Nicolina district of Iasi and from where you can see a beautiful panorama of the city, Cetatuia Monastery dominates the landscape through its slender silhouette, guarded by an imposing tower and surrounded by a stone wall milled by weather. Cetatuia Monastery is also known for its liturgical or manorial wine, which is an opportunity to see the wine cellar, as well as a wine tasting.
Then the road to Cetatuia Monastery and then to Hlincea Monastery will be on foot, we will pass through a forest, see the vegetation, and possibly the local fauna.
The proposed tour goes in front of the Palace of Culture in Iasi. Then by public transport, we reach the foot of the Cetatuia hill, from where on the path through the forest, glade, we reach the first stop Cetatuia Monastery. We can admire the church of the monastery, visit the museum, the wine cellar, where we take part in a monastic wine tasting, and continue to the second, destination, namely Hlincea Monastery.
After visiting the monastery, follow the path of returning as picturesque part of it as a forest with belvedere points on Iasi and the surroundings.
This tour is available all year round (except extreme weather conditions).
