Present, past and Jewish Warsaw
If you want to see Warsaw within one day, and you are also interested in the history of Jews for whom this town was their home, take this tour.
I will show you medieval town (Royal Castle) and city walls surrounding Old Town, baroque palaces, royal route with its palaces, pavilions and churches, parks with XVIII c. summer residence of the last king, then post-war reconstructed town, socialistic-realistic part of the city with dominating Palace of Culture and Science being the replica of palaces you could see in Moscow, but also recently built modern downtown, often called Warsaw Manhattan.
Then see a lot of traces left by Jews who made 30% of Warsaw population before WWII. E. g. still functioning Nozyk synagogue and Jewish cemetery, monuments reminding ghetto time, Jewish Historical Institute and recently opened Museum of the History of Polish Jews. At Prague site we'll visit well preserved orphanage, Jewish students' dormitory and mykveh. Stroll along the streets where "The Pianist" by Polanski was filmed.
As described in Tour Overview.

Renate was thorough, friendly, patient with the older members of our party, knowledgeable, and imparted her love of her beautiful city. We felt we had a good overview of the cultural and historical highlights, and a sense of life in Warsaw. We never would have been able to acquaint ourselves as well on our own. In short, we would highly recommend her!
