See the most important temple in Chiangmai, the less commercial Hmong village and the King Winter Palace
Visit the most sacred Wat Prathat Doi Suthep temple up in Doi Suthep-Pui National Park. It is recognized as one of the city's greatest assets. The area is covered about 261 square Km (100 Square miles). The park is named after two forested mountains west of the city, Doi Suthep and Doi Pui, which rise majestically from suburban foothills at 360 mt (1, 180 feet) to the highest peak of Doi Pui at 1, 685 mt (5, 527 feet). We will drive through the mix of deciduous forest and evergreen. The forest is filled year-round with flowers and a profusion of exotic birds, butterflies and small mammals. Visit the Hmong Tribe who lives in this park for almost half-century. Hmong people migrated from China to Thailand. Learn about their way of life and how they connect with the modern world nowadays.
Phuping Palace or The King Winter Palace was built to accommodate the royal family during state visits to the north of the country. The advantage of the cool climate and beautiful ground fill with colourful flowers.
8:0O AM We drive up to 3, 000 feet above sea level to visit Wat Prathat Doi Suthep or Doi Suthep temple, one of the most important temples in Lanna Thai. Learn about this temple situated on the high spot, the beautiful architecture. Then we will drive through the dense of hill evergreen forest to visit the Hmong tribe village. It still lives primitively, although, they live not far away from town.
On the way, we have the opportunity to visit the coffee plantation research station, one of the king's project and Phuping Winter Palace to enjoy the beautiful ground of the garden (Subjected to opening times).
NOTE: There are two Hmong tribe villages in this area; I always take people to the less-commercial one.
