Halina did an excellent job in walking us through the Old Town and explaining the history of Warsaw. She obviously has a deep love of the city and it shows whenever she talks about it. All in all it was well worth the time spent to learn about how Warsaw has recovered from both the Nazi demolition and Russian occupation. It was also interesting to share our thoughts with her about current political issues affecting the world today.
