Jola W.

Warszawa, Poland

Hello! My name is Jola. I have lived in Warsaw for over 25 years and I am fascinated with this place.

That's why, over 15 years ago, I decided to study Warsaw history, architecture, culture, etc. to become a fully-qualified city guide. Few years ago, after years spent in international corporations I gave it up and became a full-time tour guide. I've also engaged, as a volunteer, in the works of the foundation focused on documenting architectural details of old tenement houses in Warsaw.

I love travelling, meeting new people, discovering different cultures and traditions. I am easy going and energetic person, passionate about sharing my knowledge and experience with other people. I always try to make my guests feel like they're spending time with a friend.

With me you can discover different colors of the city. I will show you the Warsaw highlights but we will also see the places that are not popular among the tourists, but frequently visited by the Varsovians.

I will tell you the story of the rich, elegant city which almost disappeared from the Earth during IIWW, but then was reborn like the Phoenix , the city formed by the communists in accordance with their ideology, the city that changed completely its face after 1989. We will find the traces of Frederic Chopin, Maria Curie, Icchak Singer, admire beautiful royal residences: Wilanow and Lazienki and visit the places perfect for taking a deep breath and relax.

Take a look at the tour descriptions for inspiration or contact me directly - we together work out the best plan based on your interests and expectations.

I will be happy to host you in Warsaw as your personal tour guide.
Come over and be my guest!

A Recent Review of this guide

I have traveled all over the world and have used many travel guides. I would have to say Jola did a great job! She met us at our Airbnb and was flexibale to change her tour to meet our needs. She was very personable and friendly giving all three of us her attention. Jola knew Warsaw and spoke passionately about Polish historical events. Jola was able to answer our questions about everything (even my sisters plants and flowers questions). She clearly spoke English and had a comfortable car.
