I look forward to hearing about where you are from, where you have been and where you are going.
I came to Denbighshire 19 years ago from Canada and settled here because I loved the gentle, rolling scenery in various shades of green, and the winding country lanes which seem to go on and on and are interesting at every turn with birdlife, quaint stone cottages and bridges. It is a real pleasure to show my guests all the magnificent scenery and historical sights of North Wales. I am a born host and get excited seeing my favourite places through other people's eyes. There will always be bottles of water available and I will schedule regular convenience stops at good locations.
I am an outgoing person and within a year of moving here I had managed to be elected as a County Councillor for Denbighshire with responsibility for health, social care and culture. My 13 years in local government afforded me the opportunity to learn so much about many aspects in particular areas relating tooth economy, health, social care and culture and particularly areas that affect older people. One of the first things I did when I arrived was to try and learn the Welsh language, I took class after class but to no avail I only remember a few words and sentences. The one you will hear me say when we meet is "Croeso" - Welcome. Unfortunately I was not a good student - I just do not have the ear, or maybe its because I do not practice!!
As I have always loved music - anything from jazz to classical, country and pop, living here is idyllic. There are many Male Voice Choirs, the National and International Eistedffords and plenty of other local festivals to enjoy the Arts. September is a particularly good month to visit if you appreciate classical music and the arts in general as many artist open their studios.
Constantly I look out for good history courses so I can bring your visits to life. Denbighshire offers the historian in you an exciting journey - we have many medieval castles and merchant homes to visit as welll as developments during the victorian era - hopefully my photos show you the merits of the area.
Looking forward to seeing you soon.

Pauline gave us a very good tour of the Conwy and North Wales including the Snowdonia area. She was very knowledgeable about the sites and the area. Inspired us to make other plans to visit more of the region. Places I hadn't thought of. I find Tours by Locals a very good way to get to really know a region or site. You can just learn so much about the area but by being with someone local you get so much more out of the experience. Thank you Pauline..
