I have been guiding groups in the outdoors since the mid 1990's.
North Wales has become my home for many reasons. Nowhere else in Britain will you find such variety, in such a compact area, as you will in Snowdonia - or Eryri as it is known in Welsh. I have fallen in love with the scenery and wildlife as well as the local culture.
My work has taken me around the world, leading expeditions, training teachers and promoting the great outdoors. I have made beautiful Wales my home since 1997 and have extensive knowledge of the mountains, coasts and culture of this ancient land. I am also a member of a voluntary mountain rescue team in the Ogwen Valley.
A Recent Review of this guide
Jim was fantastic and showed us some absolutely fantastic places in northern Wales. Perhaps the highlight of our trip to London and Wales was the day we spent with Jim. My 17 and 14 year old boys both said this was the favorite part of the trip for them as well. Jim knows the area and was very easy to work with in customizing our itinerary for the day. I would use him again for a trip.
