I have been guiding groups in the outdoors since the mid 1990's.
North Wales has become my home for many reasons. Nowhere else in Britain will you find such variety, in such a compact area, as you will in Snowdonia - or Eryri as it is known in Welsh. I have fallen in love with the scenery and wildlife as well as the local culture.
My work has taken me around the world, leading expeditions, training teachers and promoting the great outdoors. I have made beautiful Wales my home since 1997 and have extensive knowledge of the mountains, coasts and culture of this ancient land. I am also a member of a voluntary mountain rescue team in the Ogwen Valley.
A Recent Review of this guide
Jim was a terrific guide! We had great fun exploring Snowdonia and would highly recommend his tour. He customized a slower version of his tour for us due to mobility issues in my family, and we would not change a thing. Make sure Jim takes you to his favorite spot for a meal...it was fantastic! Jim was very communicative during the process, and we surely hope hope we get to see him again on our next visit.
