Wachau Valley, visit to Stift Melk and wine tasting
It will be a trip along the lovely scenery on the river Danube between Melk and Krems by sedan or minivan with a private driver and a private guide. The area is one hour and a half driving away from Vienna. Expect to see a beautiful and cultivated landscape of castles, vineyards on terraces and orchards.
The visit to the museum of the Melk Abbey (Stift Melk) is one of the highlights of the tour. You will be amazed by the dimensions of the splendid building complex of the Abbey and its unique and rich baroque decoration.
The Wachau Valley is inscribed as "Wachau Cultural Landscape" in the UNESCO List of World Heritage Sites.
Follows wine tasting in vinotheks or/and in wine producer's tavern.
- Stift Melk, one of the most significant baroque buildings in Austria with its splendidly decorated church and its particularly noteworthy library. Visit to the museum of the Abbey.
- Duernstein, a stroll through the village. It will be possible to taste the local products.
- wine tasting at a wine producer and/or a vinothek in the region.

50 EUR - per person. Entrance fees in Melk - 13 EUR/person. Expenses for wine tasting - between 6 EUR and 25 EUR/person. Any other personal expenses should credit cards not be accepted at some stores.
I do not have a commercial driver's license, but I can arrange a car with a driver.

Very knowledgeable, friendly and adaptive guide ! We liked the tour as such as well, with the splendour of the Melk Abbey and the out-of-Vienna town scenic Wachau valley, and the wine tasting.
