I was born and raised in Vladimir and have lived here my entire life. My dad's family comes from the vicinity of Suzdal so I have been closely connected to that little town since being a kid.
I had a rich experience as a full time staff guide in Vladimir and Suzdal museum-reserve. Since I quit in 2014 I've been working as a private guide welcoming foreign travellers in Vladimir and Suzdal. I would love the opportunity to show you this part of the Golden Ring and everything it has to offer.
Golden Ring of Russia is a popular touristic loop-route north-east of Moscow. It is basically a set of eight cities and towns famous for their ancient history and filled with golden domes, mighty kremlins, wooden houses and tales of the past. Suzdal and Vladimir are the easiest ones to reach by public transport as there are comfy fast-speed trains connecting Moscow to Vladimir in about 1h 40mins. Suzdal is often described as an open-air museum or museum-town with up to 300 historical monuments and sights at an area of just about 10 km2. While Vladimir is the regional centre which is regarded as the medieval capital of Russia. Its historical part set on a big hill is home to three unique pre-mongolian monuments. As a local I understand historical value and cultural legacy of both Vladimir and Suzdal but as an avid traveller myself I realize how important it is to keep up to date. Modern life, recent past and soviet decades are what many of my guests are interested in as well.
I can customize any tour you'd like, and the trips are great fun for everyone especially if you are tired of big cities and want a deeper touch with real Russia.
I am a licensed private guide with an official license issued by Vladimir and Suzdal museum-reserve. It is the only valid document which allows to do guiding inside all UNESCO monuments and museums of Vladimir, Suzdal and Bogolyubovo.
I do not have any restrictions in regard to my guiding so I can offer a full range of experiences.
