A cultural and ecological tour , where you will return on time to meet one of the seven ethnical groups that we could find in Panama, there are the EMBERA…. Located at the banks of the Chagres and Gatun rivers, two of the main rivers that provide the water to the panama canal , here you will experience the adventure mix whit rivers jungle in a natural environment away from the modern city.
Discover the exuberance vegetation around , and navigate a dough out canoe right through the river thanks of the ability on the Emberas Indians, dance whit them and be part of the tribe, share their way of life, the works the do, there food, the creation of their craft and discover the wonders that waiting for you.

Itinerary

After pick up at the ship or hotel, we then drive to the Corotú pier, where the native Embera will meet us and drive us aboard a canoe up the river to their Village.
Before arrival to the Village, we will take a walk in the rainforest (aprox. 300mts. ) to the waterfall for a swim, don't forget your swimsuit (optional).
After visiting the waterfall we then continue up the river to the Village, when we arrive to the Village we will received the hospitality of the Embera people and know some of there Culture (History, Rituals, Dance, etc. )
You will have the opportunity to purchase handicrafts directly from the people who makes them.
After this experience we return to our initial departure spot (ship or hotel).

End location: at the beginning point.

Transportation

A/C car depending and the amount of people , dugout canoe ride up the river power by an outboard engine.

What’s Included

Transportation from pick up site, to the village and return.

Lunch, this consist of a portion of fish (Tilapia) and plantain. (provided by the natives), fruit (two kind) and two bottles of water.

50 USD - this will be to take care of suvenires or tatúo painting that they will be ofering at the native village
